About us
A team that brings together teaching, illustration and technology to teach children what nobody taught us.
Our story
“What do you wish you had been taught as a child?”
It came up in a conversation among friends, and we all gave the same answer: how to manage our money, start something of our own, lead, believe in ourselves. Skills we use every day in real life, but that we had to learn the hard way.
When we became parents, the question changed: who is going to teach that to our children? We looked for books and materials to help us, but what we found fell short: lots of stories where fairies and magic solve everything, and very few that talked about the real challenges children face.
So we decided to create them ourselves. We brought together a team of parents, educators, illustrators and creatives with one purpose: to help families teach real-life skills, one story at a time.
Because life is not a fairy tale.

Mora was born from a question among friends, and today it is a team of parents, educators, illustrators and creatives that creates books, games and activities for Spanish-speaking families. This is what guides us in every story we write:
Children deserve stories about the challenges they actually face: managing money, understanding their emotions, taking care of their bodies or discovering what they love. No fairies who solve everything.
Every book includes a moral for the adult and an activity to share, because the most important lessons are learned by talking with the people who love us most.
Every story is created by educators, illustrators and parents together, making sure the lesson is clear, age-appropriate and fun to read.
We want these lessons to reach every family. That is why our games, activities and guides are free, and we work with partners like Fundación ProEd.
