How to make the most of the interactive zone as a family
The Mora interactive zone brings together games, activities and materials to keep learning after reading. Everything is free, works on a computer, tablet or phone and is designed for children ages 4 to 10 with an adult nearby. You do not need to sign up to use it. Here is what you will find and how to get the most out of it.
What you will find
- Cognitive development games that train memory, attention, observation and self-control.
- The Math sprint, to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication and division against the clock.
- Family activities, like recipes and challenges inspired by the books.
- Free downloads for parents and caregivers.
Why play helps learning
Children learn best when they play: play keeps them motivated, lets them make mistakes without fear and repeat until they succeed. Each activity is designed to work on a specific skill, with easy, medium and hard levels that grow with your child, and with characters they already know from the books.
How to support your child
- Choose the activity and level together.
- Play for a short while and talk when you finish: what was the hardest part? What strategy did you use?
- Celebrate effort, not just results.
- Bring what they learn into everyday life with the ideas you will find under each game.
Connection to the books
Everything in the interactive zone comes from the Mora books: stories about money, emotions, habits, finding your calling and problem solving. Each book includes a moral for the adult and an activity to do as a family, and here we take them one step further.
Discover the booksA tip from Mora: play together for a short while, 5 to 10 minutes, and talk when you finish. Screens work best as a starting point for family conversations rather than as a solo activity: real learning happens in the conversation, which is the heart of the Mora method.
