Games for learning through play

Games designed to support child development in a fun way. Each one works on specific skills that children use every day at home and at school.

Cognitive development

Games that build thinking skills: memory, attention, reasoning and problem solving. These skills are the foundation of learning, and they get stronger with practice, just like a muscle.

Find the pairs of Mora characters. By remembering where each card is, children exercise working memory and sustained attention, and learn to plan their moves and stay calm when they make a mistake: key skills for focusing and learning at school.

  • Ages 4 and up
  • 3–5 min
  • 3 levels

The Mora characters light up in order and you repeat the sequence. Each round adds one more and, on hard, you repeat it backwards! It builds working memory: holding information in mind while using it, which is key for following instructions, reading and solving math problems.

Stop, Fram!

  • Ages 5 and up
  • 2–3 min
  • 3 levels

Inspired by the book Impulsivamente: tap every character that appears… except Fram! It trains self-control, the ability to stop an impulse and think before acting, which helps children learn, get along with others and make good decisions. On hard, the rule changes halfway through.

Why these games help your child

Every game in this section works on executive functions and thinking skills that children use every day at home and at school. They are short, have three difficulty levels and feature characters from the Mora books.

Which skills they train

  • Working memory: Follow Blu and the memory game.
  • Attention and observation: Detail detective.
  • Impulse control and mental flexibility: Stop, Fram!

How to choose the level

Always start on easy, even if it seems simple: early success builds confidence. When your child succeeds several times in a row, move up a level. If they get frustrated, going back to an easier level is part of learning too.

A tip from Mora: play together for a short while, 5 to 10 minutes, and talk when you finish. Screens work best as a starting point for family conversations rather than as a solo activity: real learning happens in the conversation, which is the heart of the Mora method.
